Our signature ARRAY triple movie night experience returns with an ode to Hip-Hop! Come kick it old school with KRUSH GROOVE (1985), take over the ’90s with BELLY (1998) or connect with the west side with STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON (2015). One night-three films screened simultaneously on our vibrant Creative Campus in three unique screening areas: crown jewel Amanda Cinema, living-room style Cinema Lounge and under the LA sky in Queen’s Court. Seating for each film area is first come, first seated.

Rep your favorite Hip-Hop era by coming in your flyest fit. The “fresh” dressed may win a prize! Join ARRAY for the beats, the films and a whole lot of Hip-Hop love.

The early days of Hip-Hop in NYC are showcased through a fictionalized account of the rise of Def Jam Records in this classic film featuring Blair Underwood and Sheila E. with appearances by LL Cool J, The Beastie Boys and Kurtis Blow. Rated [R] for strong language, violence, and sexual content.

BELLY (1998 | 1h, 36m) directed by Hype Williams
DMX and Nas unite in this tale of childhood loyalty, club life and corruption told through hypnotic visuals also featuring Method Man and Tionne (T-Boz) Watkins. Rated [R] for strong language, violence, and sexual content.

STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON (2015 | 2hr, 27m) directed by F. Gary Gray
The rap group N.W.A. emerges from the streets of Compton in the mid-80s and redefines hip-hop culture through their music and tales about life in the “hood.” Rated [R] for strong language, violence, and sexual content.
