ARRAY presents “Landings: Sowers on Screen” a film program centering documentary works by and about Black, brown and Indigenous communities and farmers, exploring relationships to land as sources of survival, resistance and liberation despite struggles against environmental racism. Our 12:00 PM showtime features:

QUEEN SUGAR (2016-2022) | Series Creator: Ava DuVernay

Based on the book by Natalie Baszile, and created by Ava DuVernay, groundbreaking TV series “Queen Sugar” tells the story of the estranged Bordelon siblings in Louisiana. Across seven seasons, directed entirely by women, we see the siblings and their family learn to put their complicated lives aside so that they can come together to run the clan’s struggling sugar cane farm. We’ll reflect on the series with a special episode, handpicked by Ava DuVernay.

Please note: Other showtimes in the day’s program require a separate ticketed entry. Guests must RSVP and possess a ticket for each screening time to attend each of the screenings.

PLUS, come ready to shop your values at Prosperity Market, a Black woman-owned farmers market on wheels, that is rolling up to our Creative Campus for the day!
